      How to change the language detection settings for your Privacy Center

      Use the Control Panels "Localisation" tab to update the language detection functionality

      To change the language detection settings

      1. Login to your Dataships Control Panel account here. 
      2. Click Privacy Center from the menu bar. 
      3. In the left sidebar menu, navigate to Customise.
      4. Switch to Localisation tab.
      5. Under the Language Detection settings chose one of the below appropriate options:
        1. Browser's default language - The Privacy Center will read the HTML language code reference (for example <html lang="en">) from your newly created Privacy Center page (https://www.yourdomain.com/privacy-center) to match the language of the Privacy Center content. 
        2. IP based language - The Privacy Center will read the user's IP address to detect their location and match the language of the Privacy Center accordingly. 
        3. Manual Detection - The Privacy Center will always load it's content in the language set as default. The users will be able to change the language by clicking on the language icon on the top right corner of the Privacy Center. 

       

      N.B. Privacy Center will always load in English / the default language unless other languages have been activated.
