How to connect your Shopify app to Dataships

Connecting your Shopify app to Dataships will allow your users to manage their personal data via your Privacy Center

Connect Shopify to Dataships

1. Login to your Shopify store here.
2. Click on Apps from the menu on the left.
3. Enable private app development if not already done so. Otherwise, click on Manage Private Apps. 
4. Click on the Create new private app button.
5. Provide details for Private app
   1. Name (e.g. Dataships)
   2. Emergency developer email (e.g. support@dataships.io)
6. From the list of Admin API, please select Read and Write for Customers permission and Read only permission for Orders and click Save.
7. Copy the Password for the APP, this is the Access Token required in Dataships Control Panel.
   
8. Next, you will need to get your Shop ID. This is the sub-domain part of the URL of your Shopify Admin (e.g. https://shop_id.myshopify.com/admin). 
9. Click on Check Connection to test the credentials.
10. If the credentials from the steps above are correct, you can Save details in Dataships Control Panel. 

That's it! Your Shopify app is now connected to Dataships.
