You can add advanced customisation to your Privacy Center to match the theme of your website
In order for your end users to recognize the Privacy Center as your own, it is recommended that you update the layout and theme in line with your website and branding. Through the Control Panel you will be able to change the layout, customise the banner image, banner text, and the color scheme for your Privacy Center. You can also add advanced customisation code.
You can customise the product using javascript and CSS. Please only use these options if you fully understand it.
Add advanced customisation code
- Login to your Dataships account via the Control Panel (here):
- Enter your e-mail address in the Email field and click Continue.
- Enter your password in the Password field and click Sign in.
- Click Comply. It can be found towards the top left of the screen along the menu bar.
- By default you will be brought to the Company Profile sub-page (see sidebar on the left of the screen). Click Privacy Center on the same sidebar.
- There is a Live Preview tab. Click this button to open the Privacy Center on a new window.
- Open Dev Tools on your browser (Shift + CTRL + I on Windows/Linux or Option + ⌘ + I on macOS) to inspect the elements you would like to change.
- Navigate back to Control Panel > Comply > Privacy Center and then switch to Advanced Customisation tab.
- Write your custom code in the boxes provided. Code for Head Tag will appear in the <head> section and Code for Body tag will appear in the <body> section of your page.
- Click Save.
Custom code is not validated. Incorrect code may cause issues with the pages.
Changes saved will be made live instantly. We currently do not have a way to stage and test the changes.
As you save changes, they will be made live. You can refresh the page to see the new changes.
