How to Manage Dataships Lists in Klaviyo

There are multiple ways to manage your Dataships lists in Klaviyo:

1. Keep Lists Separate

You can keep the Dataships Single Opt-in and Double Opt-in lists as standalone lists.

2. Use your existing lists for Dataships contacts

To update where your Dataships contacts are sent to you can login to the Dataships Control Panel and click Settings -> Integration Settings -> Klaviyo Lists and then update which lists you would like to use for Single and Double Opt-in. You can select one or more existing Klaviyo lists here. 

N.B You must select a single or double opt-in enabled list to replace the analogous Dataships list. A typical scenario here is updating the single opt-in list to your existing Newsletter list. 

3. Create a Master Segment

Under Klaviyo’s Segments, combine the Dataships lists into one segment.

To create a master segment: Here is how you do it:

• Navigate to Audience > Lists & Segments.
• Click on Create List/Segment.
• Select Segment.
  • If someone is in or not in a list > is in > Dataships Marketable Email (Single Opt In)
  • OR
  • If someone is in or not in a list > is in > Dataships Marketable Email (Double Opt In)Now you'll be prompted to define your segment. Set the parameters as follows:

• After setting these parameters, click on Create Segment.
